General Mantras
We try to make your stay as easy and carefree as possible with the hope that you aren't spending time getting salt, pepper and sugar from the store, and are instead enjoying yourself.
Take a penny, leave a penny - hopefully you have most of the essentials during your stay. Help other guests have the same great experience by leaving the essentials at the cabin or paying it forward and replacing something used.
Locks
A unique, temporary passcode for the front door keypad is provided to each guest prior to arrival. Message the host(s) with any issues.
To lock the front door, press and hold the pound (#) symbol. The passcode will need to be used to again unlock the door.
The shed and kitchen closet door are accessible to only the host and should remained locked.
Linens and laundry
Linens and towels are available for use. Please place any used linens or towel in a pile in front of the washing machine when leaving.
If you wish to use your own linens, help us save water and resources by neatly bundling the existing linens off to the side of the bed.
The Lake
The lake is deep, in fact, at the end of the dock it is about 6ft deep. Children and pets should be supervised and floatation devices are recommended. We provide several flotation devices in the closet near the front door.
There are multiple 'common areas' of the lake that are available to residents and guests only. Please take and return the visitor lake pass when visiting common areas as fellow residents will request proof of access. The common areas include the beach with dock and picnic tables, the dam dock, softball field and pavilion, and the boat launch area. On both sides of the lake there is a common access path along the water's edge (pass not needed).
Pets
We do not charge additional fees for pets because we don't think bringing your pet along for adventures should cost more money. We bring ours everywhere!
A tie out leash is located in the front of the house to avoid your dog chasing something off into the hills of WV. Bowls for food and water are located near the fireplace and it is recommended that you sanitize any bowls before initial.
Pets should be on leash in any common access areas such as the pavilion or lake beach area.
